Girona · Barri Vell · Est. MMXXVI
A hideaway in the Old Town — between the Onyar and the cathedral.
Sixteen rooms in a restored 17th-century house. No pool, no gym, no hurry. Open all year.
A small writing room under the eaves. A single deep window over the lane, a desk, morning light until noon.
The corner room, lined in old bindings. Two windows, a Catalan vault overhead, the cathedral bells close.
The ground-floor suite, opening onto the walled courtyard. A fig tree, a stone bench, quiet all day.
Dinner is served downstairs, under the old brick vault. One menu, written each morning from what the mercat del Lleó has that day — anchovies from L'Escala, duck with pears, a slow suquet of the day's fish.
Breakfast keeps no hour. The bread comes from the oven on the plaça; the coffee waits for you, not the other way around.
Sixteen rooms and nothing to schedule. No spa, no pool, no programme — the house itself is what you came to see. Take a book down to the courtyard. Leave the phone upstairs. Benvingut a casa.
No platform commission between you and the house. The rate here is the lowest we offer — the rest stays in the room, not the middleman.
Tell us why you are coming and we will give you the right room, not the next one free. Each has a name, a light, a temperament.
One number, answered by the people who keep the house — before you arrive and long after. No queue, no script, no call centre.
The door opens the same either way. Direct is simply closer.
